The son of Muslim Cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, 16-year-old Abdel-Rahman Awlaki, was also recently vaporized by the Predator-in-Chief.
It’s easy to see why Obama gave the kill order. Awlaki’s teenage son was a menace and an existential threat to our Judeo-Christian civilization who wanted to impose “Sharia law” on us and make our women wear burqas. Isn’t this what every Muslim male between the ages of 8 and 80 desires? The talking heads on TV wouldn’t lie to me, right?
All kidding aside, the details of Awlaki’s killing are very troubling and sad. In the days before his father was whacked by the US mob, Awlaki left the family home in Sanaa, Yemen to look for his father, who he apparently missed deeply. Awlaki, born in Denver, was then having dinner with some friends last Friday night when a US drone missile scorched the restaurant, killing him and nine other teenagers. Here’s Awlaki’s family, reflecting on the extra-judicial murders:
“To kill a teenager is just unbelievable, really, and they claim that he is an al-Qaeda militant. It’s nonsense,” said Nasser al-Awlaki, a former Yemeni agriculture minister who was Anwar al-Awlaki’s father and the boy’s grandfather, speaking in a phone interview from Sanaa on Monday. “They want to justify his killing, that’s all.”
No due process, not even any accusations of any crime. Caesar points his finger at the globe, and his robots rain death from the skies. Obama is no stranger to killing children and teenagers, but the reason for the kill order on Alawki’s son is even more of a head-scratcher than usual.
Does Obama enjoy ordering these types of killings? Does his chest puff out a little more as he tells his CIA who should be deprived of their life over his ham and eggs? Considering how often it happens, it wouldn’t surprise me if Obama relished ordering kills.
